Where it starts.

Each project arrives with its purpose, milestones and first tasks written out. Here is how the first three read.

CCSP exam outline and facts folder

ISC2 writes the CCSP exam from a published outline of six domains, and it refreshes that outline every few years, so a book or course from the previous cycle can teach to weightings and topics that no longer apply. One dated folder holding the current outline, the delivery rules and the costs means every later study decision is checked against the source.

First tasks

  • Download the current CCSP exam outline from the ISC2 website
  • Copy every domain and sub-objective onto one page with a tick column
  • Record today's fee, exam length, format, retake policy and maintenance fee with the date
  • Recheck the ISC2 CCSP page for an outline refresh or policy change @recurring(quarterly)

CCSP experience requirement check

Passing the exam is not the same as being certified: ISC2 asks for several years of paid IT work, part of it in information security and part in at least one CCSP domain, with substitutions for CISSP and the CSA CCSK. Checking your own history against the current rules before you pay tells you whether you will be a full CCSP on endorsement or an Associate of ISC2 for a while.

First tasks

  • Read ISC2's current CCSP experience requirements and substitution rules
  • List every paid IT role with start and end dates and weekly hours
  • Tag each role with the CCSP domains your work actually touched
  • Write down whether you qualify now or will start as an Associate of ISC2

Cloud security skills audit across six domains

Most CCSP candidates are strong in one or two domains and thin elsewhere: the cloud engineer who has never read a data processing agreement, or the auditor who has never configured a key management service. Rating yourself honestly against each sub-objective shows where the hours should go before you buy anything.

First tasks

  • Rate yourself one to four against each CCSP sub-objective
  • List the cloud platforms and security tools you have used and for how long
  • Mark the two weakest domains as your first study targets
  • Note any domain you already lead others in at work

Make it yours.

Install Cloud Security Certification (CCSP), then tell Aurum the date you're aiming for. It checks whether the plan fits the weeks you actually have.
