Terms of Service

Last updated · June 3, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Aurum Life (the desktop and mobile app) and this website, provided by Aurum Technology Limited ("Aurum," "we," "our," or "us"), a company incorporated in England and Wales (company no. 17127517), registered office 61 Bridge Street, Kingston, HR5 3DJ, United Kingdom. By using the app or the website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Aurum Life is a local-first personal life-management application with optional cloud features (an AI agent, connectors to third-party services, and cloud backup). Your data lives on your device by default; cloud features are opt-in.

Beta

The service is currently in private beta. It is provided "as is," may change or break, and may be unavailable or discontinued. Do not rely on it as your sole store of important data; keep your own copies (though as a local-first app, your vault already lives with you). Beta feedback you submit may be used to improve the service.

Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Invitations are personal; please don't share your invite link. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

Your content

You own your content. The pillars, areas, projects, tasks, notes, and files you create are yours. Because Aurum Life is local-first, your content stays on your device unless you enable a cloud feature. You grant Aurum a limited licence to process your content only as needed to provide the features you enable (e.g., to generate an AI briefing you requested, or to store an encrypted backup). We claim no ownership and do not sell your content.

AI features: important disclaimer

The AI agent produces drafts and suggestions to support your own decisions. It is not a licensed professional and does not provide:

  • financial, investment, or securities advice;
  • medical diagnosis, treatment, or medication guidance;
  • authoritative legal advice;
  • decisions about other people on behalf of any institution.

AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and approving anything the agent proposes before acting on it. For regulated matters, consult a qualified professional.

Third-party connectors

If you connect a third-party service (Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, Slack, etc.), your use of that service remains governed by that provider's terms. You authorize Aurum to access the data needed to provide the connector, subject to the consent you grant and can revoke at any time. We are not responsible for third-party services.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no unlawful content, no infringement of others' rights, no attempts to breach security, reverse-engineer beyond what law permits, overload the infrastructure, or use the service to harm others.

Plans & fees

Aurum Life offers a free tier (the local core) and a paid tier (cloud AI chief-of-staff features). During the private beta, paid features are free or limited; any future paid-tier pricing, billing, and renewal terms will be presented to you at the point of purchase before you are charged. Billing questions: billing@aurumtechnologyltd.com.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time (which triggers deletion of your cloud data, see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the service or its users.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service and website are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aurum will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service or website is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and (b) US$100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Aurum and its officers, directors, employees, and agents against claims, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your misuse of the service or website or your violation of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email, or posted to this page with a new effective date, before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
