On your computer, as plain files in a folder you can open, read, and move. Optional encrypted cloud backup and cross-device sync exist, but they're opt-in, never required.

Yes - shared workspaces are live today: a company or family space with roles (owner, admin, editor, commenter, viewer) that sits next to everyone's private system, with live co-editing, assignments, decision requests, and an alignment view across the team's projects. Your personal pillars always stay private. Agents connect to a shared space over MCP and their work arrives as proposals a person approves. A team workspace is $40 a seat a month, with everything in Pro for every person on it; the Teams page has the detail.

It waits. A proposal changes nothing while it sits there, and your agent is not blocked: it submits, gets a queued acknowledgement, and picks up the verdict later from a fresh process if it likes. A proposal nobody answers expires on a stated date rather than staying open forever, and the expiry is itself a recorded verdict the agent can read.

One key resolves to exactly one agent in exactly one workspace, and nothing in a request can name a different one. Its role is capped at viewer, commenter, or editor, so managing members and deleting a workspace are not capabilities it can hold at all. Its writes arrive as proposals rather than changes. A key can carry an expiry, and revoking one stops it on its next call.

Your personal vault is plain files in a folder on your computer, and the local database is encrypted on disk. A shared workspace is different: its pages, tasks, proposals, verdicts, and the rows an approval applies are stored in our cloud, because the people in that space reach them from their own machines. The security page names the split and lists our sub-processors.

Not with your notes. Two diagnostics exist: crash reports (the error and stack trace, with file paths and your username stripped on your device) and an anonymous install-and-launch count (a random id, app version, OS, and update channel, never tied to an account). In v0.1.48 to v0.1.50 both are on by default and Settings → Privacy turns each off; from v0.1.51 nothing is sent until setup asks you. The app also checks for updates on launch, sending only the version and platform. The Privacy Policy's Diagnostics section has the full table.

Download the installer and run it. Windows may show a blue 'Windows protected your PC' screen because the installer is not yet code-signed with a publisher certificate (signing is in progress). Click 'More info', then 'Run anyway'. The download is served from our GitHub releases and the auto-updater verifies every update's signature before installing it.

The whole desktop app, offline, with unlimited notes. AI runs one of two ways: locally on your computer, which needs a machine with about 10 GB of memory to spare for the model, or through Aurum's cloud with a sign-in. Free includes a starter cloud-AI allowance every month; paid plans add a much larger one plus top-ups. If your machine is below that floor, the cloud path is the one to use.

Invite links are single-use and expire after a few days. Open the link on the device where you'll set your password, in your default browser. If it still stalls, email support@aurumtechnologyltd.com and we'll re-issue it.

Yes, if you choose local models - Aurum can run them fully on your computer with no connection at all. By default the assistant uses Aurum's cloud AI; you pick per task, and your files stay on your computer either way.

Built-in connectors cover your notes folder (Obsidian or plain Markdown), Google Calendar, Gmail, Drive, Meet, Classroom, Notion, Slack, Outlook Mail and Calendar, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, iCloud Calendar, QuickBooks, and web pages via the Save to Aurum clipper. The Browse integrations catalog adds GitHub, Jira and Confluence, Linear, Asana, monday.com, Dropbox, HubSpot, Zoom, Fireflies, Stripe, PayPal, Canva, Docusign, Readwise, and Zapier, and you can point Aurum at any MCP server. Everything arrives as a draft you review; nothing lands in your notes until you accept it.

Download the Apple Silicon build, open the .dmg, and drag Aurum Life to Applications. If macOS flags the app on first open, right-click it and choose Open once; the Help article covers the quarantine step.

The desktop app is free and stays free. Personal plans differ by AI allowance, not features: Pro is $30/mo (1x allowance), Max is $100/mo (5x), Ultra is $200/mo (20x), and Family is $49/mo flat for up to six people sharing one allowance. Annual is about 20% off, and credit top-ups extend any paid plan. A team workspace is $40 a seat a month (three-seat minimum) with everything in Pro for every seat, free for one person and one agent, and priced by conversation for Enterprise.

In the desktop app: Settings → Account → Change email. You'll get a confirmation link; clicking it lands on this site and the change takes effect immediately.
