Where it starts.

Each project arrives with its purpose, milestones and first tasks written out. Here is how the first three read.

ACE exam guide and section map folder

Google writes the Associate Cloud Engineer exam from its published exam guide, which groups the objectives into sections such as setting up a cloud solution environment, planning and implementing it, keeping it running and configuring access and security.

First tasks

  • Download the current Associate Cloud Engineer exam guide from Google's certification site
  • Copy each section and its objectives onto a single page
  • Note the fee, exam length, question format and retake waiting period with today's date
  • Write down how long the credential stays valid and how renewal works

Cloud skills audit before ACE study

The ACE exam assumes you already understand CIDR ranges, DNS records, SSH keys, Linux permissions and how a web tier talks to a database, and it tests whether you can do things at the command line rather than describe them.

First tasks

  • Rate yourself one to four on networking, Linux, scripting, databases and each ACE section
  • List every Google Cloud product you have used and how you used it
  • Split a 10.0.0.0/16 range into four subnets on paper as a quick check
  • Write down whether ACE study starts now or after a fundamentals block

Diagnostic ACE practice exam and baseline score

Before any study, one timed attempt at a full practice exam shows which sections you already pass on instinct and which ones you are guessing at. A baseline score per section turns a vague plan into a measured one, and taking it cold stops you from spending three weeks on Compute Engine when IAM and networking are the real gaps.

First tasks

  • Work through Google's official ACE sample questions without notes
  • Sit one full practice exam timed and in one sitting
  • Record the score by exam section in your tracker
  • Tag each wrong answer as a gap, a misread or a guess

Make it yours.

Install Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer, then tell Aurum the date you're aiming for. It checks whether the plan fits the weeks you actually have.
