Where it starts.

Each project arrives with its purpose, milestones and first tasks written out. Here is how the first three read.

Eighteen-month CAPE to university map

Most CAPE students apply to university before their final results exist, using Unit 1 grades, predicted grades and CSEC certificates, so the order of events matters more than any single deadline. Laying out the eighteen months from the start of Lower Six to the first week of university on one page shows where results, applications, scholarship notices and money decisions collide.

First tasks

  • Write down the month you started Lower Six and the month you hope to start university
  • Mark the CAPE sittings for Unit 1 and Unit 2 on a single page
  • Add the application window for each country you are considering
  • Go through the finished map with a parent or guardian

Official dates for results, reviews and scholarships

Between the CAPE sitting and the first university term, the dates that matter are set by three different bodies: CXC for results and reviews, your Ministry of Education or scholarship office for national awards, and each university for its own deadlines. Checking them at source, not in a group chat, prevents the commonest and most expensive mistake, a missed window.

First tasks

  • Check the current results and review timetable on the CXC website
  • Find your Ministry of Education's latest scholarship notice
  • Note each university's application deadline with its source link
  • Recheck the official notices for changed dates @recurring(monthly:3)

CXC candidate portal and certificate access

Results now arrive online first, and many universities and scholarship offices ask for an electronic results slip or certificate rather than the paper one that reaches schools months later. Setting up access early, with your candidate numbers and registration details written down, means results day is about the grades, not about a forgotten password.

First tasks

  • Find your candidate number on your exam timetable or registration slip
  • Follow CXC's current instructions to set up online results access
  • Find out how universities receive verified CXC results
  • Ask the school office when paper certificates are usually collected

Make it yours.

Install CAPE Results, Scholarships and University, then tell Aurum the date you're aiming for. It checks whether the plan fits the weeks you actually have.
