Where it starts.

Each project arrives with its purpose, milestones and first tasks written out. Here is how the first three read.

Current SEA ELA paper format check

Formats and item types for the SEA English Language Arts paper have changed over the years, and practice books in the shops do not always match the current one. Spending an hour with the Ministry of Education's own SEA information, before buying anything or setting a timetable, means every later practice session rehearses the paper your child will actually sit.

First tasks

  • Check the current syllabus and timetable on the Ministry of Education's website and note the ELA paper format
  • Write the paper's sections and question types on one page
  • Note this year's SEA date from the official announcement
  • Share the summary with the teacher, tutor or relatives who help

Diagnostic ELA paper and starting score

Before drilling anything, a student needs to know where the marks are being lost. One full practice paper done calmly at home, then marked topic by topic, shows whether the gaps are in spelling, grammar, vocabulary or comprehension, and that decides how the next months are spent.

First tasks

  • Pick one complete practice paper that matches the current format
  • Sit the paper at the table on a quiet afternoon
  • Mark it with the answer key and circle each wrong answer
  • Sort the lost marks into five topic groups
  • Write the starting score and three weakest topics in the notebook

SEA ELA study timetable to exam day

Standard Five students already carry homework, lessons and family life, so ELA study has to fit into short, fixed slots rather than long weekend cramming. A timetable counted back from the exam date, with the weakest topics placed first and a block for full papers near the end, turns a vague worry into a plan the whole household can see.

First tasks

  • Count the weeks left until the SEA date
  • Mark the weekday slots that are free after school and lessons
  • Give each topic a week, starting with the three weakest
  • Post the timetable on the fridge or the study wall
  • Adjust the timetable after the month's practice scores @recurring(monthly:5)

Make it yours.

Install SEA English Language Arts, then tell Aurum the date you're aiming for. It checks whether the plan fits the weeks you actually have.
