Where it starts.

Each project arrives with its purpose, milestones and first tasks written out. Here is how the first three read.

Interview format map for every school on your list

Schools interview in very different ways: some invite only a share of applicants, some interview everyone who asks, some send an alumnus who has never seen your file and others send an admissions officer who has read every word.

First tasks

  • List every school you applied to in a new interview table
  • Read each school's interview page and note who interviews and whether they read your file
  • Add any team discussion, video essay or reflection requirement to the table
  • Recheck each school's interview page for changes to the format @recurring(monthly:5)

Interview invitation calendar by round

Invitations usually arrive in waves after each round deadline, and popular interview slots can fill within a day or two of release. Putting every school's stated invitation window and decision date into one calendar means you are not caught travelling or in a busy week at work when the email lands, and you can book the slot you want the same day.

First tasks

  • Copy each school's round deadline and decision date from its admissions site
  • Add the published or typical invitation window for each school to your calendar
  • Mark weeks where several invitation windows overlap
  • Review upcoming invitation windows and decision dates for the next month @recurring(monthly:12)

Story bank of twelve career and personal stories

Almost every behavioural question can be answered from a dozen well-chosen stories, but people who have not written theirs down reach for the same two under pressure or freeze. Building a bank of twelve stories covering leadership, teamwork, failure, conflict, influence, ethics and something personal gives you material for any question and stops you repeating an example across two interviews at the same school.

First tasks

  • List twenty candidate moments from work, study and life in one sitting
  • Choose the twelve with the clearest action and result
  • Outline each chosen story in five bullets or fewer
  • Tag each story with every question type it could answer

Make it yours.

Install MBA Admissions Interviews, then tell Aurum the date you're aiming for. It checks whether the plan fits the weeks you actually have.
